炎炎スロット of Technology to Increase Biogas Using Waste Bioplastic

Overview

Aiming for a bioplastic and energy recycling society, Osaka Gas is engaged in the 炎炎スロット of technology to convert waste bioplastic hydrolyzate into biogas.

Purpose

By developing 炎炎スロット to utilize waste bioplastic and convert its hydrolyzate into biogas, Osaka Gas aims to establish environmentally friendly recycling technologies and achieve carbon neutrality in energy.

Action of Osaka Gas

Osaka Gas is working on the 炎炎スロット of the following two technologies:

1. 炎炎スロット of Hydrolysis Treatment Technology for Waste Bioplastic
炎炎スロット is being developed to hydrolyze waste bioplastic (polylactic acid) into a decomposed substance mainly composed of lactic acid.

2. Biogas Production Using Waste Bioplastic Hydrolyzate
炎炎スロット is being developed to increase the amount of biogas by feeding the decomposed substance into a methane fermentation tank (digester).
Furthermore, by combining this process with biomethanation, more methane, which is a raw material for city gas, can be obtained (※ 1).
